August 2019 - Caroline + Brendan

If there’s one thing we knew for sure, from the moment we sat down with Caroline for our first consultation appointment, it was clear that she was all about thoughtful & timeless details! She and her husband-to-be were to wed and celebrate at the same place where their love story began - at their alma mater, Loyola University! We loved this special, personal touch. Her design vision was also perfectly clear from the very start - pure white blooms with flowing, pale greens, and accents of gold, dusty blue and grey - Does it get more gorgeous?! Inspired by the natural elements of the Mediterranean, and by the vintage charm of their venue, Evergreen Museum & Library, together we created a floral ingredient list of only the best, and most beautiful blooms - garden roses, dahlias, lisianthus, and spray roses, with black and white anemones as the show stopping focal. To bring out the ultimate indoor garden effect, Caroline requested we use lots and lots of pale toned greens like olive & eucalyptus, to which we were more than happy to oblige! With the expertise of Moore & Co. Events, this dreamy vision was brought to life even bigger and better than we could have expected.

At the ceremony, the bride and bridesmaids held flowy, garden style bouquets as they walked down the aisle of pews decorated with fresh greenery swags. On to cocktail hour, guests sipped and dined on fabulous hor d'oeuvres and drinks by Rouge Catering (ahem - prosecco WITH popsicles, anyone?!), while enjoying the view from Evergreen Museum’s outdoor terrace. Keeping a simple & ethereal approach, cocktail tables were topped with sweet bud vases, while the terrace staircase railing was covered with trailing smilax greens. Upon walking into the reception inside the tented Carriage House, guests were instantly wow-ed by tables covered with stunning blue and white vintage linens, topped with glowing candles and garden style centerpieces. The biggest hit though, by far, was the 12+ foot wall behind the sweetheart table which we designed with greens, vines and floral clusters - This for sure goes down as an all-time favorite for us! It didn’t stop there either - the bar, memory table, dance room windows and lounge area were all swagged with bits of greenery, bringing the Mediterranean-garden effect throughout the entire reception space. It was a truly magical and unforgettable setting, and what a joy it was to bring this vision to life for this sweet couple’s first day of forever.
